- If you a limited budget, you can try other lower rental activities like; (1) biking through dirt trails on nearby mountains, (2) hiking through local mountains at national parks, (3) renting a mountain bike and, or simply grabbing a sleeping bag and tent or (4) going camping at national parks throughout the surrounding mountains.
- Another exciting activity includes bungee jumping. There is a special bungee jumping space at the X-center with a 50 meter fence over a lake. The cost includes the jump, pictures and a free t-shirt. The total cost comes around 1800 baht, (about 55 US dollars) but gets even cheaper for every consecutive jump.
- If you like the outdoor activities, Chiang Mai has 2 well qualified rock climbing businesses, (1) the Peak and (2) Chiang Mai Rock Climbing Club. These two offers rock climbing training courses and equipment for those experienced climbers that couldn’t convey their rigging along to Thailand.
